Profiles
As part of ITSN’s effort to draw attention to Tibetans inside Tibet and the many ways they are courageously speaking out, we have developed a campaign to significantly raise the profile of a range of Tibetan political prisoners to secure their release and highlight the strength of Tibetan resistance to Chinese rule. They have been detained for a wide variety of reasons: documenting the opinions of Tibetans on Tibet, China, and the Dalai Lama (Dhondup Wangchen), sending emails (Gonpo Tserang and Norzin Wangmo), advocating for Tibetan culture, social institutions and environmental protection (Tenzin Delek Rinpoche and Bangri Rinpoche), protesting Chinese policies in Tibet and calling for the return of the Dalai Lama (Lobsang Tenzin, Sangye Lhamo and Runggye Adak) and printing the Tibetan flag (Paljor Norbu).
Please highlight the stories of these courageous Tibetans in your organization’s work to raise awareness about the incredible risks Tibetans inside Tibet are taking to publicize and resist Chinese policies in Tibet. By profiling their stories of hardship and determination, we can help free them from prison.
